CMBN’s 3 Golden Rules for Job Ads: Clear, Compliant, and Click-Worthy

If you’re hiring in Chiang Mai and want your job post approved in the CMBN community, we’ve got three simple rules. They’re not just guidelines—they’re the golden standard. Follow these, and your post will shine. Skip them, and well… let’s not go there.

1. Be Upfront About Who You Are

Transparency wins trust. Always include your company name and a link to your website or Facebook page. If you’re a recruitment agency, make sure to name your agency too. No mystery employers allowed — posts without a verified company identity will be removed faster than a disappearing soi dog.

2. Details, Not Drama

Tell it like it is:

  • What’s the job title?
  • Where’s the location (or is it remote)?
  • What’s the employment type?
  • And yes, include the salary or pay range. “Negotiable” with no numbers = not helpful.
Be honest about work permit requirements, and remember: CMBN supports legal hiring only. If you’re not in compliance with Thai labour laws, please don’t post here.

3. Explain the Role Clearly

Give potential applicants a quick but complete picture:

  • What are the key responsibilities?
  • Any experience or language requirements?
  • What are the hours or shift patterns?
  • How should people apply?
Feel free to include any perks — coffee’s not a perk, but if you’ve got rooftop sunsets or profit-sharing, brag a little!
