3 Business Security Tips to Stay Safe in 2025

I often speak about security and how you need back-up plans for any disasters that may come your way. We are all, or nearly all, using AI to help us with our business. AI is fantastic but legitimate business are not the only ones using it. Hackers love AI too using it for live deepfake video calls, voice cloning, and AI generated images to make scams more convincing

For context, I have multiple devices: an Android phone, tablet, two Windows laptops, and two MacBooks. I use Microsoft Office for my consulting business, have a personal Gmail account, and will soon switch CMBN from Titan Mail to Google or MS Office. My storage solutions include Google Drive, Docs, and SharePoint. I use Airtable for automation and rely on a password manager. Websites are hosted on WPX, with one site moving to Duda. I use Line, WeChat, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Survey Monkey, Octopus Mailer, and JotForm.

Once you start listing the things you use for your business you realise that you have tons of access points that could present hackers with an entry opportunity. If a hacker enters one of your system’s, they will likely gain access to enter other systems and apps on your devices.

Take Gmail for example, which is a free and loved email provider for businesses here in Thailand. With 2.6 billion users globally, Gmail has 30.7% of the global email market. 90% of startups and over 60% of mid-sized companies in the United States use Gmail. It is safe to assume these numbers are similar for Thailand and a magnet for hackers!

The chances of getting hacked in 2025 are considerably higher than in previous years.
